History of the Group:

The group was formed in 2000 to help meet the needs of Carers in the Selsey area.

The role of a Carer can be lonely and stressful,

            particularly for a 24-hour-a-day Carer.

We are a group of Carers and former Carers

who have come together to support each other.

We meet once a month to share ideas and

information, and to give help where we can.

Even if you do not feel able to be a member or

come to a group meeting, we should still like to

know you and be on the end of a phone for you.

            Membership is free.

We produce a free bi-monthly Newsletter to

keep you up-to-date with caring matters and to

            inform you of events.

Our main purpose is to provide broad and meaningful support to ALL Carers in the Selsey area by:

Helping you to be better informed

Improving recognition and respect for the caring role

Helping to reduce isolation and loneliness

Promoting your interests

Giving you a voice to seek changes in services

Assisting in resolving your caring problems
